Youth Summit
Youth Summit is a place where all the ESL classes of the district get together. This time we had the opportunity to listen to the speaker Consuelo Kickbusch talk to us about her life experiences. She made us realize how much we need to value our parents for everything they've done for us, and also motivated us to keep doing good. I really liked Youth Summit and I would really encourage others to go next time.

Team Building Activity
I participated in doing a Team building activity for the class. A Team building activity is an activity/ game that everyone in class has to come up with atleast once so the whole class can participate in it. My Team building activity was having each group have someone blind-folded and have that person trace a star without being able to look. So the whole point was for the team to help and work together to make the blind-folded person be able to trace the star correctly. I really liked doing an activity for the class because you get to see everyone working together and having fun at the same time.

Youth Summit Parent Night
I participated for the Youth Summit Parent Night. For Youth Summit parent night we needed students to volunteer to stay and greet the parents in. I was one of the volunteers at the door welcoming the parents in and letting them know where to go. I really liked helping out and I even got to meet some of the speakers that night. I would really encourage yall too volunteer in different things like this.

Hispanic Heritage
I participated in the Hispanic Heritage Month with my group. Each group in our class had to come up with ideas of a way to decorate our halls for the Hispanic Heritage month. My group came up with the idea of making different Hispanic flags out of posters. Each of us worked making different flags for the halls. I really liked this activity because we got to make our school look nice for the month
